Random but delicious

Lunch was random but delicious.

I sliced and roasted 1/2 of an already cooked sweet potato.  I placed them on a bed of spinach, plus an organic roma tomato.  I was going to add some feta, but then I spotted the last edamame burger, so I went with that instead.  I drizzled the whole thing with a tiny bit of sesame oil and honey, plus a generous amount of lemon juice.  A small piece of pear bread on the side rounded out my meal.  That pretty drink on the side there is not a rosé. :)~  It’s actually sparkling water with a splash of pomegranate juice.  It could have used a bigger splash.

Mmmmm…my combinations may be strange, but they are delicious.

So, looking at the two photos above, I think I’ve got a pretty good handle on how to shoot close-up photos.  It’s the photos slightly further away that I need to work on.  Hopefully I’ll figure it out soon…or maybe some seasoned photographers will give me a few pointers. (?) 🙂

It was so nice to eat lunch at home today.  It would be so wonderful to have a job uptown so that I could do this everyday!

Brad and I have been pretty productive today.  Besides work stuff I have almost finished my place cards, but I messed up the last page so I need to figure out how I’m going to fix them.  Not that big of a deal.  Brad got a hair cut and I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time in at least 5 years!!!  My eyebrows aren’t that unruly or busy so I usually just pluck them regularly.  I haven’t been keeping up with this very well lately, so I thought I was due for some grooming and since I’m getting married on Saturday I really deserved a good wax job.  They turned out great!  I actually almost fell asleep as they were doing them.  Isn’t that strange?

Brad’s haircut took a little longer than I expected so I stopped by TJ’s around the corner to pick up lunch stuff for the ladies to munch on while getting read here on Saturday.  Champagne is appropriate for lunch right? 😉

Man, was I snacky when I got home!  I wanted peanut butter and banana toast, but I also wanted a sunflower seed coconut bar, so I comprised.  I cut a bar in half and slathered sunflower seed butter on each and topped it with 1/4 of a banana each.

I also had a ramekin if Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with almond milk and a mini chocolate coconut date truffle.  Now, I’m finally satisfied.  I think I needed a more substantial snack because I didn’t eat much for dinner last night and it just hit me.

I think my Nike Tempo shorts just arrived.  I’ve gotta go bust open the package and try them on!
