I had a busy morning of more training. Thank goodness, I’m done for now!
Then, I hiked about five blocks uphill to meet Brittney for lunch. It took my just a little over ten minutes from point A to point B — my desk to our meeting place.
We met in the atrium of a building in the Wachovia Wells Fargo side of town (Uptown Charlotte is divided into the Bank of America side and the Wells Fargo side, which used to be Wachovia before they were bought out). Brittney showed me a really cool terrace with tables on the fifth floor of a building. It was a beautiful day and this was the perfect spot for lunch.
I packed a wrap, an orange, and a bunch of veggies: orange bell pepper, roma tomato, celery, and carrots.
My wrap had 1/2 can of solid white Albacore tuna mixed with a bit of toasted sesame oil, shredded carrots, avocado, and sprouts.
It was so nice to get to eat lunch with Brittney. I had forgotten how nice it is to get out of the office and eat with friends during the lunch day after eating at my desk so often at my past job. Even though I spent over 20 minutes of my lunch break walking to meet her, it was also nice to get in a bit of exercise in the midday.
I spent the afternoon working on a short project at work and then headed home to let Rascal out before my evening plans.
It’s two days before someone’s birthday, so we’re going to celebrate! 🙂
