Wow! You guys are so great. I feel so much better about my shortened long run from yesterday. I’m taking your advice and not feeling bad about it any more. I’ll see how I feel on Wednesday about another run and stick to just 20 (I can’t believe I wrote just 20) for my run two Saturdays from now.

I almost didn’t get up to workout this morning. I turned my alarm off, set it for one hour later, then closed my eyes. But then, my mind started spinning and I knew I should just go ahead and get up or I would be thinking and feeling guilty for postponing my workout for the next hour.
After five miles on the treadmill, I was starving.
I decided to have a sliced apple with sunflower butter and an egg sandwich.
I used the perfect egg method, but this time I used one whole egg, 1/4 cup of egg white, and a big handful of spinach. I had to up the cooking time since I was cooking more than just an egg. I put my egg and spinach on a sandwich thin with a Laughing Cow. Delicious and filling! I gotta have protein and carbs in my breakfast or I’m starving, really starving, by lunch time.
Speaking of lunch…
After some really long meetings, I was more than ready for lunch today. I was planning on going to AT&T during my lunch break to buy the new iPhone. Technically, I’m eligible for an upgrade, but I’m being cheap and saving my money until I really need or want a new one. I was convinced this morning that my phone wouldn’t hold a charge, but in reality, the phone just wasn’t showing it was charged. I turned it off and on again and finally, the phone figured out that it had almost a full battery. Weird.
Lunch today was a salmon salad wrap, celery, the rest of my Sabra hummus, and a very delicious orange. Citrus season is here. 🙂
Salmon salad is great if you’re tired of tuna or if just really like salmon. I took a whole can of salmon and combined it with 1/4 cup Chobani Greek yogurt, a small dollop of dijon mustard, and a generous sprinkle of salt and dried dill.
I put half of it on a whole wheat wrap with some mixed green salad mix.
I have something new cooking in my head for dinner tonight. Stay tuned. 🙂
