Workout struggles

My early workout this morning was super hard.  I did No More Trouble Zones and found myself doing a double take at my weights to make sure they weren’t twice as heavy.  I thought I might have grabbed the wrong ones because I was feeling super weak on the second rep of the first circuit.

I thought about quitting a few times, about how nice it would be to go back to bed, or to veg out on the coach for an hour.  It was a struggle, but I got through it.

My workouts and runs have been downers lately.  I’m crossing my fingers for a good run in the morning and if it’s not good, I’m not going to complain about it.  I’ve reached my complaining limit for the week.

When I was done struggling through my workout, I knew immediately what I wanted.

Raspberry smoothie in a bowl!

8 oz. raspberries
1 cup almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup spinach
1 scoop vanilla soy & spirulina protein
bit of Stevia for extra sweetness

Blend and enjoy!

I added some granola for some chew.

This was cold and delicious, but I think it would be better with whey protein instead of the soy and spirulina mixture.  I bought the soy and spirulina protein back when I was avoiding dairy.  This is the second kind I’ve tried and think I’m going to stick with whey protein when I run out of this, especially since I’m no longer avoiding dairy and have the option to eat what I want.
