Chocolate chip cookie love

When rifling through my mail this morning, I came upon a pleasant surprise.

The Larabar fairy visited while I was away.

The Larabar fairy brought four delicious flavors, a Larabar sticker, and a nice note.  Now, where can I stick my sticker to profess my Larabar love?

Before heading into work for a half day (I got in waaaay too late to work a full day happily), I made my lunch for the car.

For lunch I roasted some chickpeas and corn with some Garlic Gold, paprika, and kosher salt, then put them on top of a bed of spinach.  Rather than dirty a plastic container, I used the spinach container as my dish.  Two clementines on their last leg also went into the mix.  I drizzled everything with lemon juice and a tiny bit of agave syrup.

I also had to pack the chocolate chip cookie dough Larabar.  I have tried the PB chocolate chip version (which is currently my favorite), but haven’t tried this one yet.  It was sooo good.  Chocolate makes everything better, even Larabars.

My “dessert” at lunch did not keep me from eating all of these chocolate chip cookies a coworker put on my desk.  This photos shows them at actual size.  They were very tasty, but very thin and small.  Probably the size of three normal sized cookies.  I like my cookies to be a bit fluffier and more doughy.  These satisfied my need for an afternoon snack which I totally forgot to pack.  So I expressed my love for chocolate chip cookies twice today.

I’m so glad to be working from home tomorrow.  My house is a wreck and needs some attention before I can truly relax this weekend.  Working from home gives me two hours back in my day that I usually spend commuting, this allows me to be more productive accomplishing household chores during the work day.

Happy almost Friday!
