Customshop for Brunch

We celebrated the end of a fun weekend with good friends at one of my very favorite Charlotte restaurants.  Although I’ve been to Customshop so many times before (see here, here, and here) I have never tried their brunch.

It was high time that I did!

We started out with some delicious buttery flaky scones.

Brad and I sipped coffee while Megan and Riley opted for orange juice.

No mimosas or bloody marys for us! I don’t want to see alcohol for several days after enjoying a bit too much beer at Oktoberfest

Customshop’s brunch menu  looked absolutely fantastic.  There was something for everyone and all the dishes were extremely creative and sounded amazing.  Our waiter told us that the chef actually grows all of the vegetables on the menu in his back yard.

You can’t get any fresher than that, unless they were growing the at our table.

Brad ordered the Short ribs.

Short rib, sweet potato hash, poached eggs, red onion, greens, and hollandaise

Megan ordered the brioche.

Cinnamon raise brioche french toast stuffed with marscapone

Riley ordered the Rancheros.

Roasted corn pancakes, black beans, farm cheese, poached eggs, pico de gallo, and hollandaise

It only took me five minutes to figure out what I wanted to order.  You know how in love I am with smoke salmon.

I ordered the Eggs Norwegian.

Poached eggs, smoked salmon, asparagus, brioche, and hollandaise.

Everything was just incredible.

What you wouldn’t know by looking at this plate or reading the menu is that there are actually roasted potatoes under the smoked salmon.  I really enjoyed this meal and was lucky enough to score a bite of Brad’s short ribs (delicious!) and Megan’s brioche (heavenly!).  So, I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the things on their menu.

Customshop is making its way from being one of my favorite restaurants to possibly my absolute favorite restaurant in Charlotte.
