Yesterday evening, Brad and I attended the wedding of my friend Will and his lovely wife, Amy.
Will and I went to school together elementary through college and I was so excited to be a part of his special day.
The ceremony was in a beautiful Lutheran church in Lincolnton, NC, which is about an hour north west of Charlotte. Their ceremony was short and sweet; my favorite kind. 🙂
At the reception, I helped myself to two plates of heavy hor d’oeuvres. This was plate number one. Plate number two was mostly fruit plus two more stuffed mushrooms. Why did I think I would only want one? I adore stuffed mushrooms!
It was nice to introduce Brad to some of my old high school friends and catch up with them.
Amy must share my love of monogramming and chocolate. 🙂 This was the wedding favor at each place setting.
The happy couple’s first dance
We had a great time at the wedding and I feel so happy to have witnessed the joining in marriage of a dear old friend and a really wonderful woman. They’re a great pair!
Attending weddings makes me reminisce about my own wedding day, which Brad and I will be celebrating for the first time on August 7th. I can’t believe it’s been almost whole year since we were married.
Congratulations Will and Amy! 🙂
