Colors that don’t “go” together

(source)

One thing I’ve learned recently is that it’s fun to pair colors that don’t typically “go” together.

You should try it.  Try matching clothes that you’ve never paired before, because you don’t necessarily think the colors match.  You might like what you see.

We had a birthday party to attend Saturday night, which was also a cookout.  Have I mentioned that it’s been in the 90’s for the past two weeks here in Charlotte?

Coolness and comfort was key, so I stuck to a light-weight summer dress.

Simple sandals and an olive leather belt were my main accessories.  My favorite part of this dress is the ruffle around the bottom that reminds me of a bed skirt.  My second favorite part is the pockets.

Whoever thought to put pockets on a dress is a genius.

  4. I adore pockets in dresses and skirts! I’m not really sure why… I don’t exactly use them! But, if I want to they’re there 🙂

  5. That dress is beautiful! I live in Texas so lightweight summer sundresses are a must. 🙂
