Running in the dark and haunts

Thankfully, my 6 mile run went well this morning.  I worked out on the treadmill because it is pitch black dark outside when I get up until just before I leave for work.

There’s something about running in the dark that I don’t like.  Maybe because there is nothing really to look at because I can’t see very well. Then there’s the danger of drivers not being able to see me.  Both reasons are pretty unlikeable.

I’ve been on a big egg kick lately.

My main course was Ezekiel toast with a Laughing Cow, some mashed avocado, and an egg with salt and pepper.  Gee, why do I love avocado and egg together so much?

Brad thinks it’s gross.  This just means more for me. 🙂

I also had about equal parts “melted” blueberries (i.e. nuked in the microwave) and some plain Chobani plus TJ’s gingerbread coffee.

If you only eat sweetened yogurt, try combining Greek yogurt with  microwaved frozen fruit.  Put a little honey or agave on it until you get used to the plain yogurt taste.  I love it and hardly need any extra sweetness.  I only add honey when I really want it.

Something interesting to think about: The Omaha Steaks that the grandparents sent us for Christmas had dinner conversation cards with them.  One of them asked: What person would you least want to be haunted by?

I think Hitler might be at the top of my list.  Although I just recently had the thought that Edgar Allen Poe might be near the top too.  I loved reading his short stories when I was younger because I loved horror stories (now, not so much).  But I think someone who could write really creepy stories could also be a really creepy ghost.
