I lead a luxurious life.
Who else has their own personal robe warmer so they can stay nice and toasty when they get out of the shower?
He’ll also warm your towel if you leave it in the right spot.
I’ve wanted to title several blog posts “–Something– Fail” several times this week. First there was the salmon fail and the running fail, but there’s just something about “fail” that I don’t like. Sure, it’s funny, but I learned something from each of these “fails”. I learned the difference between stone ground and mustard powder from my dinner disaster and I learned that resting is a necessary part of overcoming weird injuries.
What did I learn about this morning’s fail? I’m not sure yet.
This is my second attempt to like figs. I really love dried figs, but I haven’t had any fresh figs that I like yet. Question: are figs supposed to be really sweet? All the ones that I have eaten are just slightly sweet.
My oatmeal contained:
1/2 cup rolled oats, barley, rye, and wheat (TJ’s mix)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup cottage cheese
4 halved figs
drizzle of maple syrup
Tbsp. of almond butter
I don’t know what was wrong with these oats but there were these little pockets of bitterness. The figs weren’t necessarily bitter, so I’m not sure where that flavor came from.
Any ideas of what to do with these figs? So far, I’m just not loving them.
