I swear…until maybe I make it again.
We still had a good four slices left even though I feel like I’ve been eating pear bread forever. It’s pretty good, but I have better baked goods in my house right now like cranberry orange scones and whole wheat biscuits.
I turned the last four slices into French toast for Brad and I. I got up 15 minute early so I could make it to an 8 am meeting on time and then decided to squander time on French toast because breakfast means that much to me.
I mixed 1 egg with about 1/2 cup of milk, a pinch of Stevia and salt, then soaked each piece of bread in the mixture, frying until dark brown on both sides in just the tiniest sliver of real butter. The edges aren’t burned. They’re only that dark because the bread was so dark.
Then, I topped it with some of this! I finally made the switch from sugar free syrup to the good stuff: real maple syrup. A little bit of this it goes a long way.
Other toppings:
Almond butter (~3/4 Tbsp?)
Raspberries
Greek yogurt (Brad looked at me when I did this and said “you’ll eat Greek yogurt on anything)
It was sooo good, but for some reason didn’t keep me full until 12, which was my lunch time all last week. I’ve been holding off on a mid-afternoon snack so I can eat a larger snack before I workout when I get home in the evening. But if I eat at 11 am, I’m starving before I leave work and have no food.
I held off until 11:30 and then dug into this.

The wrap was one of my homemade whole wheat tortillas. These were so crusty and delicious. I may never purchase tortillas or wraps from the store again. I wish Food for Life sold sprouted flour so I could make my own Ezekiel wraps. That would be awesome.
