I got home a little later than usual today because I had to swing by my aunt’s house for my W-2s to get our loan for the house. She always helps me do my taxes so I also keep my tax info at her house. While I was there I noticed she had a tiny kitten at her house. I should have snapped her photo because their Jack Russell think the kitten is her baby and the kitten thinks the dog is her mother. The kitten has been spotted trying to nurse on the dog and the dog carries the kitten around in her mouth by her neck. I’ve gotta get a photo of that!
I had a quick snack when I got home. I had the last of my TJ’s 2% Greek Yogurt mixed with Greek God yogurt with the last of the pear crisp and some Cinnamon Puffins. All that cinnamon was pretty tasty mixed with the creaminess of the yogurt. Before you think “ew gross, that pear crisp is over a month old”, let me remind you guys that I stuck everything that might go bad in my freezer while we were on our honeymoon in Italy, then transferred everything back to the fridge to thaw. Still tasted good to me!
After my snack, Brad through on our running shoes and did a quick four miles. It was getting a little bit late at this point, so I wasn’t extremely hungry after my shower. I just wanted something cold and a little sweet.
Dinner was a strawberry chocolate smoothie in a bowl with a little bit of Justin’s chocolate PB and some cranberry flax granola. Totally hit the spot.
Besides the toppings, it had:
1 cup of frozen spinach
1/2 frozen banana
6-7 frozen strawberries
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein
the last of the chocolate Amazing Grass 🙁
1 cup of almond milk
All of this frozen goodness meant I didn’t need any xanthan gum to thicken it up.
Brad and I are both typing away on our computers while watching How I Met Your Mother. Rascal is snuggled up beside me snoozing as usual. I’m about to go throw together a quick lunch and hit the hay. Rascal woke us up last night tip tip tapping around on the floor while we were trying to sleep.
He’s getting locked out tonight so we can get a good night’s rest.
Goodnight!
