Make the most of it

Presently Rascal and I are sitting at a cute little cafe, called String Beans, having dinner in Belmont, NC. Well, I am having dinner and Rascal is begging for a morsel. Traffic was horrendous because I-85 (my way home) is completely shut down due to a huge wreck and I expected to remain that way for several hours. All the back roads look like the main strip at Myrtle Beach during spring break, which is not a good thing to put it mildly.

So Rascal decided that he could really go for a bowl of water and I obliged thinking that I could probably use a glass of wine.

The sandwich was a little bread heavy. I’ve decided I’m not a big fan of focaccia as a sandwich. It just too much. Rascal helped me out by eating most of the second piece of bread. If you know me, you know I’m a strict mama and table scraps are not okay in almost all cases. But the little guy was hungry and who knows when we’re going to make it home. The hwy is supposed to be shut down for HOURS.

Funny thing is…I’ve always wanted to eat by myself at a restaurant. We’re just making the most of it. 🙂
