Allison and I got up early on Sunday to do a four mile run.
We found ourselves at the Philly Art Museum, who stairs might look a bit familiar to you.
These are the same stairs, Rocky ran up when he was training to become a boxer.
Of course, I couldn’t resist running up the steps and acting like a fool.
After our run, we returned to the hotel for the Healthy Living Summit 5K.
All my favorite ladies were there! 😉
Our 5K was more of a leisurely stroll through the city.
All you need is LOVE.
And we found ourselves back at the Philadelphia Art Museum
I’m not the only silly one. 🙂 Thank goodness for roommates like Tanya.
We ran back to the hotel for our oatmeal bar breakfast, sponsored by Quaker Oats. I was so hungry, I didn’t shoot a single shot.
After breakfast I caught up with some old friends and even made some new ones, before showering and getting ready to pack up to leave.
My roomies and I (Andrea, Stephanie (pictured) and Tanya (not pictured) proudly rocked our summit shirts.
I absolutely love our HLS shirts, provided by Five Bamboo. They’re so comfy and cute!
After packing and checking our bags in with the hotel for safe keeping, we headed over to Reading Terminal for lunch.
After much deliberation on what to eat, I chose this delicious vegetarian lunch with a homemade veggie burger, salad, and some kind of yummy dressing (in the bottom right corner) that definitely had some tahini in it. YUM!
Then I conquered one of my oldest childhood fears…
…and went to the Flying Monday baked goods stand, for something sweet.
Creepy a$$ monkey.
Heather and I split the S’moreo which was delicious, but virtually impossible to eat with a fork. Thank heavens we’re not germ-a-phobes because we both had our fingers all over this thing.
This lunch was bittersweet because it was the last of my Philly fun. After lunch, some of my local Charlotteans and I, hopped in a cab to head to the airport.
I’m not sure if I can adequately describe how wonderful, inspiring, and fun the Healthy Living Summit was for me. Besides meeting incredible healthy living bloggers, I got to know some of my local blogger-friend SO much better. Their presence at this conference made everything exponentially more fun.
So many summit attendees were taken back by how many healthy living bloggers live in the Charlotte area. I was so proud to be a part of this group.
If anything, this summit solidified my choice to be a part of this community, to continue to pour out my thoughts and ideas, to remain invested in my blog and what I believe it means to live a healthy full life.
Thank you for letting me share these recaps of my weekend with you.
