This was waiting for me when I returned home after work yesterday.
Happy Birthday to me! Brad is a good listener when it’s important. 😉
I was very excited about the contents of the box, despite my bleary eyed, end-of-day look.
Yay! Â I have the best husband!
I’ve wanted a Kate Spade purse for soooo long. Â He did a really great job picking out the perfect purse. Â I’m really impressed that he thought to get something seasonally neutral because I’m going to want to carry this all the time.
Even though we’re celebrating tonight with friends, I wanted to do something low key and fun on my actual birthday.
In early evening, I biked over to The Philospher’s Stone, to reunite with my old running group. Â I haven’t ran with them in so long! Â The Thursday night run didn’t really fit in with my training schedule for the Disney marathon…and then there was that one month long hiatus where I didn’t run at all.
It felt great to be running with them again, even if I didn’t recognize hardly anyone there. Â The group has changed a bit since they changed locations. Â Thankfully, there was at least one familiar face. Â We did a total of about 4 1/2 miles and I really pushed myself to run hard. Â That group is so fast! I don’t think I’ll ever lead the pack, but it’s still so much fun to run with them.
After my run, I cleaned up in the restroom and joined Brad outside on the patio for dinner. Â Our friends Erin and Thomas also joined us. Â It was great to hang out with good friends on my birthday! Â We chowed down on bar food, beer, and at the end of the night we share two brownies and ice cream. Yum!
After hanging out for a few hours, Brad and I biked home in the dark. Â I love being able to get around on our bikes, rather than driving all over town.
All in all, my birthday was wonderful; no doubt due to good friends, a gorgeous night, and especially my thoughtful and loving husband.
