Hello there!
I’m just popping in to give a quick hello. Today is a busy one and tonight I’m enjoying an early birthday celebration (the official day is the 28th) with my family at a new-to-me restaurant. Of course, you can expect a full recap later.
In the mean time, I can’t help but share a few stylish blogs and online retail stores I’m loving right now.
I used to read foodie and healthy living blogs exclusively, but I’m slowly breaking into a few other blog genres, much to the dismay of my very crowded Google Reader.
Here are some of my very stylish favorites…
The title of Everything Fabulous kind of speaks for itself. It’s hips name doesn’t lie. From green living to fashion and beauty, it really is fabulous! There’s even a food and entertaining section for my fellow foodies.
My Style Pill documents the style of Christine, a wardrobe consultant and personal stylist in NY. I love her style which sometimes exceeds the level of funky clothes I am comfortable wearing. Gosh, you can get away with so much more in NY! Maybe I’ll have the nerve to wear different prints at the same time after reading her blog for a while. 😉
Hands down, my favorite non-food blog right now, From Me to You is just so classically beautiful in every way possible. She does amazingly wonderful things with photograpy. From style, to different cities, to food, everything is just so exquisite. If you only like food blogs, scroll down and find “Dinner and a Movie” on the right side of the page. My personal favorite part of her blog is the Daily Outfit; a must see if you love style icons from different decades.
And yes, I realize that I am gushing. It’s just that good.

Now for a little retail love to go along with our stylish theme.
I found Ruche in the advertisement side bar on Facebook one day and all I could think was, “Facebook, you know me all too well”. If you love vintage style, you have to check it out.
I mean, how cute is this?
I’ve also been perusing the funky styles on Apartstyle.com My top pick is this beautiful gray dress with lots of feminine draping. I have already owned this dress once, but it was for my Barbie, circa 1992. Also, it would be really great if I was invited to the ball so I can buy this to wear.
Modcloth is one of my favorite places to find fun looks with a fun price.
This top is named “Adore my Darling” top for good reason. It is very darling.
One word: adorable.
But word to the wise when shopping at Modcloth. If you see something you like, buy it now. The top above was brand new the other day but now is already sold out. On the other hand, Modcloth features so many different designers, it’s hard to know what size you’ll take. People will often write comments below each item to explain how it fit once they received it and tried it on. I always always always refer to this when ordering anything to Modcloth. But if in item is hot, Modcloth will sell out before anyone has a chance to review the fit of the item. It’s the chance you take when shopping there.
I’ve never returned anything but I’ve heard that returning an item is really easy. So it might be worth it to snag something quickly, if you really like it.
Want to add to my list of stylish things to look at during my free time? Let me know what stylish blogs and online stores you love. Let’s see if Google Reader has a capacity limit. 😉
