First off, thank you, thank you, thank you, for your extremely kind and supporting words. You don’t know how much I cherish your overwhelmingly gracious comments.
Thank you for your patience while I figured things out and then jumping back in to give me exactly what I needed to dive back in to blogging. You guys are amazing. You make blogging so incredibly worth it.
Now, I will pay you back in a recipe… (insert devilish grin here)
Over the course of a week, I managed to make a chocolate cherry bomb, not once, but twice. And I made it two different ways.
To be terribly accurate, Brad actually made the first.
Have you heard about these delicious concoctions? I’ve seen them here, here, and let’s not forget here. How could I not try one, or maybe two, for myself?
Chocolate Cherry Bomb Version 1
1 cup of almond milk
1 cup of frozen cherries
1/2 frozen banana
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein
1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup of frozen spinach
Blend and enjoy. The spinach is, of course, optional.
Chocolate Cherry Bomb Version 2
1 cup of 1% plain organic yogurt
3/4 cup frozen cherries
1/2 frozen banana
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup of frozen spinach
bit of Stevia
Blend it up and eat it with a spoon because it will be the consistency of Jello pudding you took out of the fridge 30 seconds too soon.
The major difference between these two version is the tartness added by the yogurt in Version 2. Version 1 is also sweeter due to the protein powder, but perhaps yours is not quite so sweet.
Now, who do you think made which version? 😉
A cold smoothie deserves a hot cup of coffee.
Big bottom girls coffee makes my world go ’round.
