After finishing up work yesterday, I decided to make a quick trip to Target and Trader Joe’s to get some much-needed items for the next day. I totally got sucked into Target and had to tear myself out to make it to Trader Joe’s in time to be back for dinner. The parking lot was a mad house. You could really mess with people just by wandering around the parking lot aimlessly. People will stalk you for your parking space. I may or may not be one of those people. 😉
Over the course of the afternoon, I snacked on a Clif Z Bar and some trail mix. I was starving when I got home from shopping and had to have just a little more trail mix to tide me over until dinner. Working out and shopping make me ravenous.
Brad and I got ready for dinner out in a hurry and headed over to Loco Lime to meet a large group of friends for dinner. Before we left, we made the executive decision to change our long run date to Sunday rather than Saturday so we could have a few drinks and have fun with our friends.
We met up with some friends at the bar while waiting for our massive table to clear. I had my very first skinny margarita to start off. I was a little sad there was no salt on the rim. I LOVE salt on my margarita glass. I expected this drink to be stronger and less sweet, but it really didn’t taste extremely different than a regular margarita. It was a little less sweet. Maybe it’s only skinny because it’s half the size of a regular margarita (?).
The finally found somewhere to put our gigantic group.
We had the classic chips and salsa that you can expect at every Mexican-esque restaurant.
Brad ordered guac for the table. Everyone said this had a little too much lime, but I liked it. You can pretty much put anything in avocado and I’ll still eat it.
I was not adventerous tonight and ordered the same thing I did last time: two veggie tacos, which come with black beans and rice. I love love love the veggie entrees because they all include plantains. This definitely sets Loco Lime apart from other Mexican restaurants.
I put a major dent in this plate of food and finished all but one taco. I really like this dish because the tacos are nice and small and unlike some of the other entrees that are covered in queso, there’s just a sprinkling of cheese. I also ended up ordering a Dos Equis with my food. When in Rome a Mexican restaurant, right?
Our table was completely covered in food.
The company was as good as the food. 🙂

After dinner, we said goodbye to half of the crowd. Somehow, I ended up being the only girl left. We headed over to Thomas Street Tavern, which is just down the street. Brad and I didn’t stay long. We forgot that our early bed times during the week make us super tired when we try to stay out late on weekend nights. The clock in my car said 10:34 pm when we arrived at home.
I was glad to be in early on a Friday night. I have so much to do tomorrow an the rest of the weekend for that matter.
Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
