Giving thanks

A few days ago, Katie tweeted this sweet little message and it got me thinking.

I have been blogging for almost 13 months (lucky 13!) and I too am very thankful for those who read and contribute to my blog with their comments and support.

I ‘m a very creative person, but life doesn’t always allow me to use this creativity.  Blogging has been this outlet for me.  It allows me to take two things I really enjoy (cooking and writing) as well as something I’m just starting to learn how to do (photography) and gives me a medium to express myself.

As much as I love blogging as a creative outlet, everyone loves positive feedback.  You don’t know how much your comments, questions, emails, notes on Facebook, and tweets mean to me.  It makes me so happy to know that something I said made you giggle, made you think, made you salivate, made you want to get in the kitchen, made you want to keep reading.  Just knowing someone reads my words and sees my photos, and appreciates the little glimpse into my kitchen and my life, makes my life so much  brighter.

Every little comment (no matter how small you think it is), every question about something I did or made, every thing you guys do to show me you are reading, means the world to me.

So thank you so much for being a reader.  Thank you for reading from the beginning.  Thank you for reading for the first time.
