My granny ways

In the battle of blogging, working, and sleeping, working and sleeping are winning.  Work has been cerrrr-azy and I’ve decided to give myself the gift of 8 hours of sleep every night.  This means going to bed at 9:30 pm and I don’t care if you’re judging me and my granny ways.  Sleep is one of my favorite things right now.

Another favorite thing…

This tofu: nutty spicy tofu.  It’s even  better than the tofu I had out in San Jose last week.  I can’t get enough of it.  My camera got left at home today, so although I had planned to catch up on blogging during my lunch break, I’m only giving a snippet of food from the past 24 hours instead, only what my iPhone captured.

Lunch was the salad I never ate from Saturday that I made at Harris Teeter, topped with the best tofu ever.  My salad had mixed greens and spinach with cherry tomatoes, dried cranberries, carrots, and sunflower seeds.

I also had another whole wheat biscuit with apple butter and a Macintosh apple from the NC mountains I  bought at a farmer’s market this weekend.

Words cannot express how much I love this biscuit, especially this  biscuit with apple butter.  If you  have never made biscuits because you think they’re finicky and time consuming, YOU MUST TRY THIS RECIPE. It is so easy and the results are so worth it.  Seriously, stop what you’re doing and go make these now. You’ve got to learn how to make biscuits if you’re ever going to be a granny like me, even if I am a few decades early.

In other news, for all you Lululemon lovers out there, stop by Monica’s blog, Run Eat Repeat, to win some serious Lululemon swag.

I have never wore Lululemon stuff myself (because I’m cheap), but am pretty afraid certain if I tried any on, I would fall in love with them, based on what I know about their clothes.  I’m also certain I’ve been mispronouncing Lululemon for several months now.  I just learned recently that it’s pronounced exactly how it looks, not Lulamón as I’ve been saying it in my head.  How embarrassing.
