Bailing

I bailed on everything last night.

I  bailed on my friends.

I  bailed on my run.

I did not, however, bail on dinner.

Another meal complimented by goodies from my swag bag from Metro Fitness Club.  I’ve been hearing and reading and seeing Pop Chips all over the blog world,  but I’ve never tried them.

The verdict?  I really liked them.  I’m not a “plain chips” person so I’m glad I received the barbecue.  The reason these chips are different than your ordinary chip is that they’re not baked or fried.  They are pressure cooked so they’re not oily, but still retain their flavor.  I have no idea what they cost since these were a gift, but the next time I  buy chips (which is rarely unless we’re having people over or cooking out), I’m going to seek out Pop Chips.

So what did I eat with the Pop Chips?

Something weird of course.

I made an omelet with one egg + 2 egg whites, jalapeno Havarti cheese, and spinach, then I topped it with three healthy slices of avocado.

Isn’t this lighting cool?  I don’t know if you have noticed but anytime I’m taking photos of my food at home during the week, it’s dark.  There’s absolutely no natural light (breakfast is at 6:30 and dinner is usually around 8 pm).  I had dinner a little earlier than usual and since the sun was setting, it was casting odd lighting on the dining room table.

Dessert was Goodness Gracie’s Heavenly Toffee and Sensational Cinnamon cookies.  These are definitely not healthy-fied cookies, but man are they good.  I really like the cinnamon, which is a bit stickier on the pallet than the toffee, but the toffee is still my absolute favorite.

So why did I  bail on everything except dinner last night?  Because I was exhausted.

I went to bed at 8:45 pm and it was awesome.

I only know one Grandma D- but I think she’s got some competition. 😉
