Keeping it simple

Up and early at 5:30 this morning, per usual.  I debated going back to sleep for fifteen minutes then remembered none of my dress pants are wrinkle-free enough for the office.

I did another yogurt bowl this morning, but instead of a crunchy topping, I went for a soft topping.

-2/3 cup TJ’s Euro organic fat free yogurt
-1 tiny apple, diced, sprinkled with cinnamon and microwaved for 1 min.
-1 apple spice muffin, crumbled
-1 Tbsp. almond butter
-1 Tbsp. apple butter

This was relatively few ingredients compared to my usual breakfast. I kept it simple today.

Brad wasn’t hungry for breakfast yet (who did I marry?), so he and Rascal snuggled on the couch and talked to me while I ate at the table.  One of the conveniences of having one major room in the condo.

One of our morning traditions: Rascal gets to lick the bowl.

Don’t worry, I don’t leave much, but he appreciates the gesture just the same.

I got on the elevator this morning and was given a new reason to appreciate living in the new house versus the condo: the lingering of an overzealous cologne user in the elevator.

This is a regular occurrence. I get in the elevator and am welcomed by a cloud of perfume or cologne (usually cologne!), whose owner has exited the elevator but left the cloud behind.

It could be worse.  I could share a cubicle wall with one of those people.

God bless their coworkers.
