You know how carbs just before bed are supposed to help you sleep?
Well carbs are no match for Mr. McSquirmy. He tried to press himself up against me the whole night, which is fine if he didn’t twitch and kick and squirm the whole night as well. He wouldn’t be still for the photo either, which is why it’s a bit blurry.
He’s so sleeping alone tonight.
I pondered my breakfast choices as I got ready this morning. My farmer’s market spinach must have been organic because it started to go bad after three days. By today it had to be eaten but not raw. You can salvage slightly wilting spinach, but only cooked…
or in a Green Monster! My smoothie had:
the last of the spinach (~2 cups)
half a frozen rock solid peach
half a frozen banana
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 cup almond milk
A small cranberry orange scone (on a tea cup plate) rounded out my breakfast.
P.S. The Green Monster was bigger than this glass as usual. There was about 1/4 of another glass full, which I added later.
Last work-at-work day of the week for me! Working from home on Fridays are the best!
