Happy Halloween!
Although I really love Halloween, it has gone a little unnoticed at the Davis house. We have finally moved into the new house and I’ve been busy for the past three days packing, moving, and finding the perfect place for all of our belongings.
I’m not going to lie. I’m utterly exhausted. I didn’t take a break from moving this entire weekend except to attend two parties (one on Friday and one on Saturday). The Saturday night event was a Halloween party, which we did not even dress up to attend. I had the perfect costume planned, but never got around to purchasing what I needed to transform myself. I’ll keep my awesome idea to myself for next year.
Not taking the time to dress up is so unlike me.
Brad and I were Double Dare last year.

And the year before that I was a flapper and he was Charlie Chapman.
But even with the big move, I’m still in the seasonal spirit. I may not have had time to cook a single meal in the past four days, but I am still in the recipe sharing mood.
So let’s pretend that I’ve been baking and cooking up a storm in my new kitchen and now I’m ready to share with you my top picks for fall seasonal cooking.
Favorite Fall Breakfast:
Favorite Fall Appetizer:
Sweet Potato Chips with Blue Cheese Dressing
Favorite Fall Soup:
Favorite Fall Entree and Side:

What’s your favorite Halloween Candy?
Do you have a Halloween costume?

Mmmm… that main pork dish and side are right up my alley! My fav Halloween candy are the dark chocolate Reese’s pumpkins. I have to admit though, any chocolate is good to me!
Oh my gah, I have not tried those. Those sound amazing.
I really like Twix — crispy, chewy, yum! No costume this year — my husband and I are also in transition.
Twix is a fan of Brad’s. The PB version is amazing!
Those fall favorites all look delicious! I really want to try the pumpkin black bean soup recipe!:)
my favorite halloween candy is snickers!
I need to make that again soon. It’s surprisingly delicious.
I read an article recently that told the ingredients of the double dare slime. I don’t remember what they were completely but I think there was pudding and oatmeal in there! I always really wanted to be on double dare as a kid.
Haha…edible slime sounds like a great idea for Halloween.
I hope you had fun passing out candy to your trick-or-treaters!
You guys looked great as a flapper and Charlie Chapman! I was sans-costume this year and didn’t do anything overly festive, but I did dominate in the candy and scary movie departments.
Thanks, I did have fun! I’m not big on scary movies (I’m a weenie), but candy domination, I can totally handle.
