Work appropriate

I went shopping this past weekend.  The mall was beckoning to me like the sirens.

Obviously, I couldn’t avoid it any more than the sailors could ignore the dangerous bird women. But luckily, I didn’t wreck my car on the curb beside the mall.  The sailor’s trip wasn’t quite as successful.

Meanwhile I found the only skirts left…they were at J. Crew and I bought two of them.  One in the charcoal gray you see pictured above; another in a dark camel.

The shoes are from last summer and are some of my most comfortable because they have a cork heel.

I also found a few tops at Banana Republic on the petite rack.  Although hard to tell in the picture, it’s an olive green with fuchsia and yellow flowers and a small lace collar.

Of course, I also threw on a light gray cardigan to make this work appropriate and to get as much value as possible from my investments.
