Rascal withdrawals

I haven’t done a “this is what I ate today” string of posts in a long time, so I think I’m due.  Also, I’m excited that I’m not eating in a restaurant so I’m in a food sharing mood. 😉

I packed this lunch last night while Brad and I were catching up on Jersey Shore.  Even though we got rid of Direct TV, MTV makes our guilty pleasure cheap and easy by posting all episodes online the day after they run.  Oh Snooki, you make my life more fun, and possibly my brain more stupid.

I stuck to something simple because we got in around 9:30 pm and still hadn’t had dinner.  This lunch was super easy, especially since I had stocked up on some Annie’s Organics soups a couple of weeks ago.

In my lunch bag:

– spinach salad with orange bell peppers, shredded carrots, chopped celery, goat cheese, and almonds
– re-used jam container of Newman’s Own Sweet Onion salad dressing (I usually use half then stick the remaining dressing in the fridge at work for another salad later on in the week)
Annie’s Organics minestrone soup
– three clementines

One of my clementines was too old and didn’t taste good anymore, so I trashed it after the first bite.

This guy was the start of the show.  Maybe it’s because I haven’t had a lot of fresh vegetables in the past few days, but this salad tasted so good! Cheese and nuts make every salad better. 🙂

I stopped by a coworkers desk soon after lunch and couldn’t resist eating one of her Dove dark chocolates.  She doesn’t like dark chocolate so I’m slowly taking them off her hands. 😉

Do you know what I’m super excited about?

I haven’t seen this little guy for almost six days and I miss him so much!  I’m picking him up from my Aunt Tonya’s house after work and I can’t wait to see him. 🙂  I’ve been going through some significant Rascal withdrawals and I need my fix.

Hope you’re all having a great Wednesday!  Two more days and we’re home free.

I’m really excited that I have a three day weekend because of MLK holiday.  I can’t get enough play days in my life. 🙂

What about you?  What are you doing with your long weekend, assuming you get Monday off?
