Almond butter lava

This morning I remembered that I had two leftover apple cinnamon pancakes.  At the mere mention of pancakes, I start craving them.  Today was no exception.

Ever since Brad has started waking up early to have breakfast with me, I have been making his breakfast too, for the most part.  Seeing how we only had one pancake for each of us, I knew I had to make this meal more substantial.

I thought about making pancake in a yogurt bowl, but ended up doing yogurt bowl over a pancake, sans bowl.

I topped one reheated apple cinnamon pancake with 1/2 a banana, about 1/2 cup 2% Greek yogurt, 1 Tbsp. AB, and a little maple syrup (~1 1/2 Tbsp).

I see a banana yogurt volcano with almond butter lava. 🙂

DE-licious!

If you’re  not a comment reader (I don’t usually read comments on other blogs either), then you might not have seen the good point Brad brought up about the scariness of genetically modified salmon I addressed yesterday
One thing that is scary about this is that with corn, you can pretty much determine where the seeds are laid. With salmon, if one got into the wild, its virtually impossible to keep it from breeding into the rest of the population / tracking its movements. This WILL happen, it is just a question of when someone decides to release one. Just a thought.

I don’t know how common it is for farmed fish to get out into the wild, but that seems pretty plausible to me.  Just as ground level water sources are easy to contaminate, It seems that it would be difficult to ensure that farmed fish never make it outside their containment area and into the wild.  Pretty scary for those of us who do not want to ingest genetically modified food.  If you’re as frightened by all this as I am and want to do something about it, click here to send a message to the FDA, made possible through the Center for Food Safety.
